Papas Mexican Grill in Lake Stevens

Love the street tacos! I wish I knew her name, but one of the servers gave me her personal recipe for carnitas! so good! The servers have always been very kind, and it's nice to see the same faces every time you walk in. Place is a bit pricey, but honestly it's just as overpriced as every other Mexican restaurant in the area.

They serve great food, but lack detail. No water served with chips or dinner, no dressing offered or served with dinner. The wait staff seemed to be family run which was neat to see. Our waiter had no personality and seemed to be concentrated on other things. Overall average exp. I won't side step this place but won't go out of my way either. I will say a second trip here could end up being a greater exp.or worse. The waiter is everything.

Fast friendly service. Individual tacos are hearty portions. They have a self serve salsa bar to go with the complimentary chips.

Great place every time I go there, it is empty.

Mediocre food. Nothing seemed wrong with it, it tasted okay and was hot, but there was just nothing that really set this place apart from other restaurants. The service on the other hand.. was not only far too casual, but the gentleman didn't write our order down and as a result my Dad ate something other than what he'd ordered. If this business wishes to survive having The Ram just a block away, they'd better take heed and step up their game in all aspects.

We had dinner tonight at papa's . And it was $41.00 for the two of us and worth every penny. The stuff was top of the line. So now for the food Being this was my 3rd time and the last 2 were so great I went on a limb and pointed at something on the menu to try and next time I will do the same it was so good i want to try more stuff . I cant wate to go back

Best Calif Mexican in the area both Lake Stevens and Everett Location.

After dining here 3 times now I'm going to have to say the food is mediocre at best. Not bad, but not great either. Service was pretty slow, the prices were well above average and it wasn't a very clean place. People were friendly enough. Just really think this place could be a lot better.

This was our first visit. We had breakfast. There were many options. I had the huevos rancheros verdes. The food was good. The service was excellent. We plan to return to try some of the other offerings.

Great family owned spot. Food is always great, people are always fun. We go out of our way to eat at both locations. One of the best around. I had carnitas tacos last time there, and may have found a new favorite.

Excellent food, with a fantastic salsa bar. Service was a little slow but the meal was worth the wait. Highly recommend the steak, it's perfection!

Friendly atmosphere, great service and delicious food.

The food is good and they have a small salsa bar with some really good salsa to choose from. The tortilla chips are always served warm with a bean hot bean dip that is excellent. I have never seen it very busy and always get right in. I find it hard to get good Mexican food in this area and having lived in San Diego for many years where Mexican food is awesome maybe I have the bar set too high but this place is close.... probably the best I have found in this area so far.

The food at lunch is real good. My wife had the chili relleno and said it's possibly the best she's ever eaten. That says a lot, we have never found any in the states that compares to our favorite from Juan's Place in Mismaloya. I ate the beef enchiladas and tried 3 of their 6 or 7 homemade sauces that are all tasty. We will be back.

I went here, after playing around in the mountains all day. My appetite was thoroughly satiated! Portion size is enormous, and the food is amazing! The salsa bar breaks tradition, with custom salsas and dipping sauces. If you like margaritas... You'll LOVE this place! ...They're HUGE !

Our family all went to Papas last evening for dinner and the food and drinks were outstanding. My husband and I had the carne asada burrito and it was so delicious. This was one of the best mexican meals that I've ever had. Also, the service was exceptional and made our dining out experience even more special. Thank you, Papas.

Mexican is my all time favorite food, so I know what I'm talking about. Hahah😂 I've tried just about everywhere, and this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The staff is friendly, and the food is amazing! Their chimichanga comes smothered in queso sauce, which is hard to find around here, and it's so good! Their pollo a la crema is incredible!! Their chips are the best, and their meat, especially their carnitas and picadillo, always have a ton of flavor. Oh and the sauces at their salsa bar are awesome!! Sometimes they're really spicy, a little too much for me, and sometimes they're not, which is cool cause you know it's made fresh every day. Anyway, give it a try!

We just discovered Papas does breakfast! So excited. We had mimosas and breakfast. Their lunch is pretty good and so we tried their breakfast and we left very happy customers.They have a great self service salsa bar that has 5 different salsas in it. Their breakfast menu is pretty big and has a great variety of items. We plan on coming back with more friends next time. We found our new half-way point for our ladies network group. Thank you papas for the great experience today.

This was my second attempt at eating here. Zero stars both times. Horrible food and even worse service. Polo a la crema tasted like something was burnt in it, but noticed the chicken was undercooked. Zero communication from the server. no water served. They served chips and beans but included no salsa. Found out later they had a salsa bar which only had tiny plastic cups. Server had no idea what we all ordered. Took forever to get our food, overpriced, dirty sticky tables. This place is disgusting, I can't believe they can stay in business. All of the bad reviews are perfectly accurate.

The food was good, served hot and quick with a great salsa bar. Service was excellent. Decent portion sizes. Overall a good fun experience.

The food was pretty good, I would say 3 and a half stars but the service was horrible. We had to repeat everything at least 3 times to our waiter and he still forgot stuff and got our son the wrong order which we had to wait for after we already had our food. We eventually started asking the gal that was serving the chips for stuff because she was attentive and kind. We won’t go back because of the big waiter’s lack of skill and attentiveness, this was not the first time we experienced this with this particular waiter.

I've been here a few times they have good food, lunch menu, great beer on tap big glass if you want it and I like the salsa bar would recommend

I specifically asked for a shredded chicken chimichanga. I got a "grilled" chicken burrito. The "grilled" chicken tasted and looked similar to Tyson chicken strips you buy at the grocery store... no way was it fresh cooked. It was fake/processed. As a matter of fact, with the green peppers and onions added in my burrito, I would compare it more to a "chicken" fajita burrito than a shredded chicken chimi. I paid $35 for 1 burrito and 1 chimi (which was sadly made as a burrito). We were supposed to have rice as a side, but neither dinners did (we had our orders to go). Make your own opinion, but I will never eat here again as they don't have any attention to detail and never get it right. (My husband has yet to try his steak burrito... he probably got a chimi, ha)

I love this place and they are always friendly. There salsa bar is perfect for pleasing the whole family.
